Our team at Asphaltgold is diverse and consists of over 120 employees with different backgrounds and areas of expertise, including marketing, e-commerce, customer experience, purchasing, logistics, finance and human resources. We are united by a passion for high-quality products and a shared focus on the success of our company. Making coffee for the team and otherwise just working through boring to-do's? Not at asphaltgold! With us, you are fully involved from day one. It is important to us that our apprentices and trainees also learn responsibility and independent work at an early stage and don't just do their time with us. We also like to entrust you with your own projects and offer you a varied training plan that encourages and promotes your skills.

We are also very flexible when it comes to your practical time. If you are interested in other departments in addition to the framework plan, we will try to make it possible for you to get a taste of them and gain experience.

FUN

At Asphaltgold, you can expect lots of cool events, sports clubs and other activities in addition to your regular working day.

In addition to the annual Christmas party, our traditional table tennis tournament in the summer and the SoulSole party, we also regularly come up with special and unique events. Last year, for example, there was a cinema event, a pop-up store and some sporting get-togethers. As an employee, you can expect generous benefits and the perfect opportunity to get to know your colleagues better outside of the normal work context. There are also numerous sports clubs that you can take part in. In addition to our regular Bad Habits Run Club, we often meet up for soccer, poker, Mario Kart or table tennis, but we are always open to new ideas.

Especially through these after-work offers and activities, some friendships have already developed at Asphaltgold that go beyond "just" being colleagues.

How does the application process work?

As we want to take enough time for each application, it can take up to 14 days before you receive a response. In the next step, we will invite you to an initial meeting. The initial interview usually takes place digitally via Teams. The final stage is a personal interview on site.

What are the chances of being taken on after the apprenticeship?

After successfully completing your apprenticeship or studies, we are of course interested in taking on our trainees.

In which departments will I be deployed?

In principle, we are always open to your wishes and give you the opportunity to get a taste of all the departments that interest you. Basically, it is as follows:

Businesspeople in e-commerce: Product Operations Management, UX & Tech-Ops, Performance Marketing, Customer Service, Buying and Finance

Retail clerks: Sales

Warehouse specialists: Shipping & returns

Dual study program: Product Operations Management, UX & Tech-Ops, Performance Marketing

How much vacation do I have during my apprenticeship?

You have 24 vacation days during your apprenticeship. For the dual study program, it varies depending on the model (block model: 20 days & weekly model: 24 days).

Can the apprenticeship be shortened?

Yes, this is generally possible. The apprenticeship can be shortened depending on your school-leaving qualifications and previous achievements. If you are interested, please talk to us about this during your interview.

How many trainees are there in the company?

We currently have 7 trainees & dual students at our company. As a rule, 3-4 new trainees join us every year. This means that each apprenticeship can be filled once.

Which school/university do I attend and how often am I at school/university?

This varies depending on the apprenticeship:

We work together with the Karl-Kübel-Schule in Bensheim for the e-commerce clerk apprenticeship. There are block lessons here.

There are fixed vocational school days for the retail management assistant apprenticeship: lessons take place two days a week. Here we work together with the Friedrich-List-Schule in Darmstadt.

The dual study program usually takes place in cooperation with the Worms University of Applied Sciences in a block model.

Is it also possible to choose a different course of study?

Yes, we are also open to offering other courses of study and already have dual students with other courses of study and at other universities in our company. Above all, it is important to us that you fit in with Asphaltgold and that your degree program is compatible with our departments. So feel free to apply for the dual study program and write which course you prefer.
