As the second skate shoe we ever designed, the Old Skool became a true icon far beyond the skateboarding world - especially in the underground music scene. Almost 50 years later, we are celebrating this connection with the Premium Old Skool Music Collection - an exclusive series of three unique editions inspired by different eras of the Old Skool in music. The Punk Edition revives striking leopard patterns and eye-catching solid colours - a tribute to the colour combinations that were adopted by the first punk and hardcore musicians in the 70s and 80s. Our revised premium design remains true to the iconic Old Skool silhouette and has been reinterpreted for today with improved cushioning and an optimised fit. The shiny side panels, raised rubber sole edge and nostalgic branding pay tribute to the original details of Vans shoes from the 90s. The premium Old Skool was developed using sustainable materials such as a regenerative rubber outsole and bio-based insoles and is a real eye-catcher in every respect.
