It's been 20 years since Nike first collaborated with HUF - now the duo is bringing back the iconic Nike x HUF Air Max 1 SP! The bringback is almost identical to the original from 2004 - from the gray leather upper and cracked leather overlays, for which HUF was inspired by the fog and asphalt of San Francisco's streets, to the accents in HUF's iconic "Pear Green". Keith Hufnagel and his team made sure to add a few very special details to the Bringback! Probably the most striking new addition is the co-branding on the tongue, a detail that Nike did not allow back in 2004. HUF's vintage logo is now emblazoned on the tongue in combination with the Swoosh. The HUF team also went all out with the packaging. Each pair comes with a pendant reminiscent of Bones, Keith Hufnagel's beloved Chihuahua, who loved to sleep in the shoe boxes in the old HUF store. But that's not all, the tissue paper features an iconic photo of Lance Mountain dressed as a bee, standing outside the original store with Bones and Keith Hufnagel. The shoe box pays homage to the old Nike boxes, but instead of the iconic beige and orange, this one shines in beige and "Pear Green".

Max Air was the first visible version of Nike's Air technology. Inspired by the modern inside-out architecture of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Hatfield developed the Air Max and literally opened a window onto the sole of the shoe. And thus started a revolution in the world of footwear.

About Nike

"Just do it" : Hardly any other brand lives its brand slogan like the sporting goods manufacturer founded in Beaverton in 1971. In the 1960s, athletics coach Bill Bowerman set himself the task of developing the perfect running shoe for his students. Together with the student Phil Knight, this project gave rise to the company Nike, which celebrated its breakthrough at the 1972 Olympic Games. Among the greatest achievements in the company's history are the involvement of the exceptional basketball talent Michael Jordan and the introduction of visible Nike Air® cushioning on the Nike Air Max 1. In the 80s film classic "Back to the Future", the Nike Mag with its automatic lacing plays a central role. Nike's chief designer Tinker Hatfield has recently managed to turn this dream idea into reality. Using Nike E.A.R.L. technology, he has launched the first self-lacing shoe on the market, heralding the future of sneaker development.
