Color name: Summit White / Metallic Gold / Concord / Black
When the Air 180 first appeared on the scene in 1991, the two designers Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore surprised everyone with two major innovations. The already familiar Air Pad used in the Air Max 1, 90 and Light was no longer a small window, but was visible from 180 degrees for the first time. The second new feature was the Dynamic-Fit Sleeve tongue, which guaranteed an optimal fit. Now Nike is bringing back the classic in the *Concord* colorway!  For this one, Nike focuses primarily on Summit White. Details such as the collar, tongue and parts of the sole unit are set off in the eponymous Concord colorway. The golden Swoosh and black color accents complete the colour palette.

Max Air was the first visible version of Nike's Air technology. Inspired by the modern inside-out architecture of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Hatfield developed the Air Max and literally opened a window onto the sole of the shoe. And thus started a revolution in the world of footwear.

About Nike

"Just do it" : Hardly any other brand lives its brand slogan like the sporting goods manufacturer founded in Beaverton in 1971. In the 1960s, athletics coach Bill Bowerman set himself the task of developing the perfect running shoe for his students. Together with the student Phil Knight, this project gave rise to the company Nike, which celebrated its breakthrough at the 1972 Olympic Games. Among the greatest achievements in the company's history are the involvement of the exceptional basketball talent Michael Jordan and the introduction of visible Nike Air® cushioning on the Nike Air Max 1. In the 80s film classic "Back to the Future", the Nike Mag with its automatic lacing plays a central role. Nike's chief designer Tinker Hatfield has recently managed to turn this dream idea into reality. Using Nike E.A.R.L. technology, he has launched the first self-lacing shoe on the market, heralding the future of sneaker development.
