    The designers of the first 990 were tasked with creating the best running shoe on the market. The Made in USA 990v6 takes up this original mission by adding a whole range of performance-orientated updates to the shoe. The upper has done away with the usual midfoot saddle, allowing the suede and synthetic overlays to extend from heel to toe over the mesh underlay for a fast, sleek look. The design marks one of the most dramatic changes from one model generation to the next that the 990 has ever seen, but the biggest leap forward is on the inside. Thanks to the addition of FuelCell midsole cushioning, the evolution of the 990 is not only visible but also tangible. The redesigned silhouette from the Made in USA Collection features a classic mesh upper accented by suede and synthetic overlays.
