CUP DA FRANCO - RUNNING FOR PIZZA SINCE 1978

With the claim "Running for Pizza" we started last year at the Darmstadt city run aka the famous Cup da Franco. Since 1978, that means for 45 years now, the run takes place annually in the city center of Darmstadt and passes directly the Asphaltgold store in Schulstraße. Of course we don't want to miss this opportunity and want to make sure that the run will be a great success on and off the course!

For this purpose, Asphaltgold will again offer a lot: the Faema Boys will again provide the finest pizza at the store, the matching tunes will come from the Asphaltgold DJ team aka Marius from the Splsh Brothers! And what goes perfectly with pizza and dolce vita at Ludwigsplatz? Sure, Italian Birra! We have for this year's Cup da Franco Peroni at the start!

Additionally there will be the Asphaltgold Speedway on the Schulstraße for the first time in 2023. The runners (18+) come up the famous steps to Schulstraße and then it starts - the speedway is an approx. 80m long official sprint race for which we have thought of a very special prize. The fastest man and the fastest woman at the Darmstadt city run will win, based on the early prizes of the Cup Da Franco (1 year beer and pizza at Da Franco) Pizza and drink for one year: 12 pizzas and 12 drinks at our favorite Pizza Spots in Darmstadt: 4 x Pizzeria Roma, 4 x Mono and 4 x Slap! You can get all the info on our flyer, which you will find in the starting documents of the city run!

A third Pizza & Drink Flatrate will be raffled among all runners, so that really everyone from 18 years on can try his luck! Who still wants to register now can do so here!

Last year our Cup Da Franco t-shirt was sold out in a few minutes and the restock was instant gone - this will hardly be different in 2023. Off-white base and dark green print, the inspo should be clear here. The shirt will initially be available from 17.06. instore in our store in Darmstadt, from 19.06. (12:00 CEST) also online.

But don't worry: we have enough t-shirts for the Cup Da Franco on Wednesday! And psst: instore there will be another goodie, which is directly related to beer. O.O

Last year we were already quite loud and with a big troop at the start - what an evening! For this year we definitely plan to go one better, but for that we need you. Come around, cheer on, be loud! We are looking forward to seeing you!

On Wednesday, 21.06.2023 we will be at the Asphaltgold Store (Ludwigsplatz Darmstadt) from 18:00 with drinks & pizza and music and you are welcome! The individual races will take place between 19 and about 21:30, the exact schedule and the possibility to register can be found HERE! Come by, treat yourself to pizza and drinks, a Cup Da Franco t-shirt, cheer on the Cup Da Franco runners and celebrate with us at the store! Speaking of drinks: of course there will be soft drinks and water for the runners, but we are also mega happy to have beer support from Peroni - Dolce Vita in Schulstraße! Rumor has it there might even be bleachers on Schulstraße.
