    PUMA X ASPHALTGOLD PALERMO *SEDIA*

After the release of the *Scopa*, our very first sneaker collaboration with Puma on 04.05., the second Palermo colorway of this collaboration now follows. While our *Scopa* is named after the traditional card game of the same name, the next release also pays homage to the Italian lifestyle and the mentality associated with it.

Our second Palermo is called *Sedia*, which means "chair" in German. The name alludes to a well-known Italian children's song and is also a homage to the Italian mentality. Because: "Aggiungi un posto a tavola, che c'è un amico in più", as the song goes, is an Italian proverb that means something like "add a chair, because another friend is coming". It symbolizes Italian hospitality, the sense of friends and family, togetherness and shared memories.

At the table ("a tavola") with Gigi "The Eternal" Buffon

To celebrate the shoe and the theme appropriately, the content creation took place in Milan - with none other than the Italian goalkeeping legend, the "Eternal", Gianluigi "Gigi" Buffon. He not only played over 500 games in goal for Juventus Turin, but also for the Squadra Azzuro, the Italian national team, for over 20 years!

    Straight from the Puma archives

The Puma Palermo is a classic 1970s soccer silhouette that came to some prominence on the terraces in the 80s. It was common for sneakers to be named after cities at the time and the particularly large Palermo label was also a guarantee of success at the time. Nevertheless, the silhouette disappeared from the scene and was only brought back from the archives in Herzogenaurach a few years ago. The Retro has now been released since 2023.

About the shoe: Puma x Asphaltgold Palermo *Sedia*

At first glance, the Palermo *Sedia* appears very subtle in various shades of gray and beige. But we have also focused on special details for this collab. The iconic monoblock chair, which everyone knows and which symbolizes sitting together in a large group, can be found on both the insoles and the tongue of the sneaker. As an allusion to the children's song, which was the source of inspiration for the sneaker design, there are also several "hidden messages" on the *Sedia*, which reproduce parts of the song lyrics.

The Puma x Asphaltgold Palermo *Sedia* is a homage to the Italian way of life and the joy of hospitality; a shoe that stays in rotation!
