For the fifth year in a row, we at Asphaltgold are using the increased attention of Black Friday for a project close to our hearts: we want to raise awareness of togetherness in our world - celebrate diversity and solidarity. In doing so, we are concentrating on creating something positive with lasting value and, above all, giving something back.
HUMANHOOD PHOTO EXHIBITION
IN A WORLD OFTEN OVERSHADOWED BY NEGATIVITY, WE SEEK TO STRENGTHEN THE BRIGHT SIDE OF HUMANITY.
This year we are opening the Humanhood photo exhibition together with 19 great local and international artists, where interpretations of "Unity&Connection. Empathy&Compassion. Identity&Diversity." will be shown and sold for a good cause. Interpersonal interactions, touches, moments that connect people, that illustrate harmonious coexistence, images of connection and cohesion, of humanity - the foundation that connects us all.
The photo exhibition will take place from November 23rd to 29th in our Asphaltgold Pop-Up Gallery at Berliner Str. 60, 60311 Frankfurt am Main.
On November 23rd at 10am we will start the exhibition with our opening brunch, accompanied by snacks and coffee from Hoppenworth & Ploch . From November 24th to 28th the pop-up gallery will be open daily from 4pm to 8pm. We will celebrate the finissage on Black Friday, November 29th from 6pm with music and drinks from Nature's Calling .

HISTORY
At the heart of our alternative Black Friday concept is a commitment to giving back to the community. We have chosen to channel our efforts into something positive with lasting value.
2020
Racism sucks! On Black Friday 2020, our online shop was closed in its usual form; the carefully selected range of sneakers and clothing was not available that day. Instead, there was only one T-shirt available both online and in the store with a clear anti-racism message to raise awareness of coexistence on our planet. As it says on our T-shirt: We all walk the same earth.
2021
Following on from our first Black Friday campaign, we lured customers into our online shop with a striking sales ad. Once there, however, they were not confronted with discounts, but with the issue of racism. The 20% "discount" on every order was donated to the European Network Against Racism .
2022
We wanted our message to reach everyone, so we designed 16 different T-shirts with our slogan "We all walk the same earth." in 15 different languages. The 16th shirt combined all languages in one design.
2023
After two years without events because of Covid, we have adapted our statement: "We all dance the same earth". Music and dance connect people worldwide without the need for a common language. To symbolize "unity", we designed a capsule collection and held an after-party on this special day, the entrance fees for which were also donated.
2024
This year we let the pictures of 19 great photographers speak for themselves: Our Humanhood exhibition shows interpretations of “Unity & Connection. Empathy & Compassion. Identity & Diversity.” – moments that show what harmonious coexistence can look like.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR MISSION.
Thanks to your help, we were able to raise over €60,000 and raise awareness of racism, which unfortunately is still a very big problem in our world .
