For the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, Nike brings back the silhouette in an iconic colorway. The Air Jordan 3 Retro *White Cement Reimagined* is based on the OG White Cement from 1988 and thus already highly coveted among sneakerheads and basketball fans.
The iconic silhouette has a history rich in tradition: Nike was looking for a new way to market its basketball shoes in the late 1980s, as the Air Jordan 2 failed to match the success of the Air Jordan 1 and Michael Jordan's contract also expired. Designer Tinker Hatfield was tasked with designing the perfect shoe for MJ that would stand out from the competition and lead to an extension of his contract with Nike.
